I love smoothies, and I’m always looking for new and different recipes. This Banana Bread Smoothie with Fiber One™ Original Cereal is the perfect fiber-filled way to enjoy the flavor of banana bread without baking!

Ingredients

  • 2 medium frozen bananas, peeled and sliced 
  • 2/3 cup Fiber One TM Original cereal, plus more for garnish, if desired
  • 1 1/2 cups 1% low fat milk 
  • 1/4 cup plain fat-free Greek yogurt 
  • 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Place the banana, cereal, milk, yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a blender or food processor. 
  • Blend until smooth, about 1 minute.
  • Pour into 2 tall glasses and garnish with more crushed cereal and banana slices, if desired. Serve immediately.

    Liz this sounds delicious. I love frozen bananas and always have some on hand. I think it was you who reminded me to freeze bananas as they get too ripe. I want to try this recipe!

      Wow. You have a great memory! Freezing really ripe bananas in chunks makes it easy to add natural sweetness to smoothies and it helps to prevent food waste. I hope you enjoy the smoothie!
